Jackson Maynard is an accomplished attorney with more than two decades of experience across the public and private sectors. He holds a Bachelor of Science in International Relations, a Master’s in History, and a Juris Doctor—each from Florida State University—reflecting both depth and breadth in his academic foundation.
Jackson’s legal career spans criminal and civil practice, complex litigation, and high-level public policy work. He began as a prosecutor before transitioning into civil practice, including nearly four years as a construction attorney with the Florida Department of Transportation. He later served as General Counsel for the Building Industry Association of Washington, representing one of the largest business trade organizations in the region and advising on a wide range of regulatory, legislative, and litigation matters.
Jackson has also played a direct role in shaping public policy. He served as a staff attorney for the Florida House of Representatives and later spent eight years as senior staff counsel to the Senate, focusing on transportation, law and justice issues, and major legislative initiatives. His combined legislative and legal experience gives him a uniquely comprehensive understanding of how policy is crafted, implemented, and challenged.
Across every role, Jackson is known for practical judgment, strategic thinking, and an ability to navigate complex legal and policy issues with clarity and precision. He has built a strong record of solving problems, advising stakeholders, and delivering results.
He is admitted to the bars of Washington, Florida, Texas, and the District of Columbia, as well as multiple federal jurisdictions, including the Eastern and Western Districts of Washington; the Northern, Middle, and Southern Districts of Florida; the Ninth and Eleventh Circuits; and the Supreme Court of the United States.
